Este programa é um excelente exemplo de organização entre instituições, com o objectivo de divulgar o património no mais jovens, sensibilzar as gerações para preservação do mesmo. É também um óptimo exercício educativo, já que os jovens que participam neste programa terão a possibilidade de adquirir vários conjuntos de conhecimentos relacionados com o Património Mundial

World Heritage High School Student Exchange Program is one of the most respected international organizations dedicated to education through student exchange. Hosting a World Heritage foreign exchange student allows families like your own to experience the fun of getting to know another culture without ever having to leave your backyard! As a World Heritage host family, you will gain not only priceless memories with your new "son" or "daughter", but also friendships that will last a lifetime. As your World Heritage student becomes a part of your life, he or she will also gain a deeper appreciation for both your culture as well as his or her own culture. World Heritage exchange students are enthusiastic and come from a wide varieties of countries including: Brazil, Denmark, France, Germany, Great Britain, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Spain, Switzerland and Thailand.

For North American students interested in becoming an exchange student abroad, World Heritage cooperates closely with ASSE International Student Exchange Programs. Together, ASSE and World Heritage offer three different international exchange programs. Students can pick their adventure - a full academic year program, a 6-months program, the teen-twin program or a summer language program abroad.
